Staff Security Architect

About the role

Kraken is looking for a hands‑on Staff Security Architect to join Kraken Security Labs. You will work with a small, highly technical team to embed security into the design and delivery of next‑generation financial and blockchain products.

Key responsibilities

• Design, review and verify robust security architecture across heterogeneous cloud and on‑prem environments.
• Conduct thorough security assessments, audits and threat modeling of existing and new systems.
• Provide practical recommendations and guide remediation efforts to improve security posture.
• Stay current with blockchain, web3, AI and cryptography security trends and share knowledge across engineering teams.
• Collaborate remotely with stakeholders worldwide to ensure secure operational practices.

Required profile

• Proven experience as an IT security expert with a strong focus on application security.
• Hands‑on experience testing diverse applications and infrastructure.
• Familiarity with security frameworks such as OWASP and NIST.
• Excellent problem‑solving abilities and capacity to work in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong communication skills for effective remote collaboration.
