Static Engineer – PMC Offshore Project

About the role

KBR is seeking a Static Engineer to support a PMC offshore project based in the contractor's office in Abu Dhabi. The role focuses on static equipment engineering, ensuring design quality, operational reliability and compliance throughout the asset life‑cycle.

Key responsibilities

• Provide static equipment engineering support for projects and operations.
• Ensure engineering work quality, effectiveness and efficiency.
• Conduct technical evaluations of equipment and system design, operation and maintenance.
• Participate in root‑cause failure analysis and recommend corrective actions.
• Review project and contractor deliverables such as P&IDs, equipment arrangements, specifications, data sheets, vendor proposals and technical studies for compliance with standards and best practices.
• Take part in design reviews, risk assessments, HAZOP studies, vendor qualification and bid evaluations.
• Coordinate communication among project and operations stakeholders, including teleconferences and reporting tools.

Required profile

• At least 120 months (10 years) of experience in static equipment engineering, preferably in offshore oil & gas projects.
• Strong knowledge of design standards, static equipment toolkit guidance and industry best practices.
• Ability to analyse technical documents and ensure compliance with specifications.
• Excellent coordination and communication skills across multidisciplinary teams.
