Steward

About the role

We are seeking a diligent Steward to support our kitchen and food-and-beverage operations in Abu Dhabi. The role focuses on maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and safety across all back-of-house areas, ensuring smooth daily service.

Key responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, crockery and cutlery.
• Operate dishwashing and pot-wash machines efficiently.
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen floors, walls, stores and other back-of-house areas.
• Follow hygiene, sanitation and food-safety standards at all times.
• Handle cleaning chemicals safely according to training.
• Assist chefs and service teams during operations when required.
• Ensure proper waste segregation and disposal.
• Report damaged equipment or maintenance issues to supervisors.
• Support inventory control of cleaning supplies.
• Comply with company policies, safety standards and SOPs.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Steward in a hotel or restaurant is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of kitchen hygiene and sanitation standards.
• Physically fit and able to stand for long hours.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
• Team player with a positive attitude.
• Basic English communication skills.
• Eagerness to learn and follow instructions.
