Structural Engineer – High‑Rise & Deep Basement Projects

About the role

Al Marwan Group seeks a senior Structural Engineer to act as the technical guardian for a mega‑scale high‑rise development (50+ floors) with an ultra‑deep basement (5+ levels). You will ensure structural integrity from design through construction, bridging the Lead Design Consultant’s vision and the Main Contractor’s execution.

Key responsibilities

• Provide on‑site technical authority for all structural elements, guaranteeing stability of the tower and basement.
• Review and approve IFC drawings, Bar Bending Schedules, PT shop drawings and steel fabrication drawings.
• Monitor deep excavation works, shoring systems (diaphragm walls, secant piles, ground anchors) and temperature‑controlled raft concrete pours.
• Oversee superstructure execution, including post‑tensioned slabs, outrigger levels, transfer slabs and tuned mass dampers.
• Coordinate with surveying teams to track verticality, column shortening and foundation settlement.
• Manage interaction between temporary works (tower cranes, climbing formwork, deep shoring) and permanent structure.
• Raise RFIs and resolve design clashes to protect schedule and quality.

Required profile

• Proven experience in high‑rise and deep‑basement projects.
• Strong knowledge of UAE building codes and international standards (ACI, BS, Eurocodes).
• Ability to enforce strict compliance with approved drawings and quality procedures.
