System Administrator – Data Center Operations

About the role

We are looking for an experienced System Administrator to manage and optimise our data centre infrastructure in Dubai. The role combines hands‑on data‑centre operations with server and virtualization administration.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement rack layouts, cabling, power distribution and redundancy plans.
• Monitor and maintain HVAC, CRAC units, temperature, humidity and airflow containment.
• Manage UPS, PDUs, generators and perform electrical load balancing and capacity planning.
• Use DCIM tools (e.g., Schneider EcoStruxure, Sunbird, Nlyte) to generate health and capacity reports.
• Administer Windows Server and Linux (Red Hat/Ubuntu) environments, including patching and security.
• Provision and manage virtual machines on VMware vSphere (ESXi, vCenter).
• Implement backup strategies with Veeam or Commvault and oversee SAN/NAS storage.
• Perform basic MSSQL administration and automate tasks with Ansible, Bash and PowerShell.
• Ensure compliance with TIA‑942, ASHRAE standards and physical security protocols.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or a Diploma in Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in data‑centre operations and system administration.
