Systems Assurance Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented and analytical Engineer – Systems Assurance to join our Fujairah team. The role focuses on ensuring the reliability, performance and compliance of critical rail infrastructure systems through testing, validation and quality‑assurance processes.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure civil works for rail infrastructure comply with RAMS (Reliability, Availability, Maintainability, Safety) principles throughout the project lifecycle.
• Develop and maintain the Systems Assurance Plan covering design, construction, testing and commissioning phases.
• Guarantee full requirements traceability from employer requirements through design, construction and hand‑over.
• Review civil design submissions for safety‑in‑design and operational safety compliance.
• Coordinate with track, signalling, MEP, utilities and systems teams to manage civil interface requirements.
• Conduct hazard identification (HAZID), risk assessments and safety analyses for civil railway assets such as stations, viaducts, tunnels and track works.
• Implement Verification & Validation (V&V) processes for all civil deliverables and construction activities.
• Monitor compliance with railway authority standards and review Method Statements, Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) and other assurance deliverables.

Required skills

• Knowledge of RAMS principles for rail infrastructure.
• Experience with hazard identification (HAZID) and risk assessment.
• Familiarity with Verification & Validation (V&V) processes.
• Understanding of railway standards, safety‑in‑design and operational safety requirements.
• Ability to review Method Statements and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs).
