Systems Engineer L2

About the role

VaporVM is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer – Level 2 to manage and support its enterprise Windows infrastructure. The role covers Windows Server, Active Directory, Exchange, Entra ID, DNS/DHCP, patching, and disaster‑recovery environments.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and troubleshoot Windows Servers, ensuring security, performance, patching, and hardening.
• Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, users, groups, OUs, and service accounts.
• Administer Microsoft Exchange, handling mailboxes, mail flow, connectors, permissions, and troubleshooting.
• Oversee enterprise patching and software deployment using ManageEngine Endpoint Central.
• Configure and maintain Microsoft Entra ID, MFA, Conditional Access, roles, applications, and access controls.
• Support backup, disaster recovery, business continuity, RTO/RPO, and conduct DR testing.
• Handle L2 incidents, problem management, root‑cause analysis, and approved infrastructure changes.
• Monitor system capacity and performance across Windows, Exchange, VMware, storage, and backup environments.
• Coordinate with Microsoft, ManageEngine, and other vendors for technical issues and licensing.
• Maintain infrastructure documentation, SOPs, reports, compliance evidence, and configuration records.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in Windows/System Administration or enterprise infrastructure.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Windows Server, AD, DNS, DHCP, Exchange, and Entra ID.
• Experience with ManageEngine Endpoint Central and enterprise patch management.
• Knowledge of VMware, backup/DR, security, and ITSM processes.
• Proven troubleshooting, root‑cause analysis, documentation, and incident management skills.
