Technical Superintendent – Shipping Projects

About the role

The Technical Superintendent will lead and coordinate all shipping project activities, including shipbuilding, acquisition, repair, and modification, for a global energy maritime logistics leader. You will oversee complex FSRU conversions of Moss‑type LNG vessels and ensure projects meet safety, regulatory, and budgetary requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, direct, and control shipping projects from inception through completion.
• Lead design and approval processes for FSRU conversions of Moss‑type LNG vessels.
• Monitor fleet‑wide projects to ensure compliance with IMO regulations and achieve cost‑saving design optimisations.
• Manage contracts for life‑extension and conversion works, including creation, development, and execution.
• Provide technical expertise and peer‑review project proposals for management and clients.
• Remotely manage shipbuilding, acquisition, dry‑dock repair, and modification projects, ensuring adherence to quality, HSE, environmental policies, schedule, and budget.
• Maintain strong relationships with shipyards, contractors, and other stakeholders.
• Develop and implement fleet‑wide projects aligned with IMO targets and global standards.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in maritime project management, particularly with LNG and FSRU vessels.
• Deep knowledge of IMO regulations and international maritime standards.
• Proven ability to manage complex contracts and multi‑disciplinary teams.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
