Test Lead - Credit Decisioning

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Test Lead to drive testing activities for an end‑to‑end Credit Decisioning programme in the banking and lending domain. The role will collaborate with business, IT, risk, credit, TCOE and implementation partners from test planning through to post‑production support.

Key responsibilities

• Define and own the overall test strategy, plan and schedule.
• Lead SIT, integration, regression, UAT and Go‑Live readiness testing.
• Set test scope, entry/exit criteria, quality gates and release‑readiness criteria.
• Manage the full defect lifecycle, including triage, prioritisation and closure.
• Ensure comprehensive test coverage across Micro/SME, Mid‑Corporate and Large‑Corporate lending processes.
• Validate credit processes such as origination, underwriting, risk rating, pricing and limit setup.
• Conduct API and integration testing with internal and external banking systems.
• Oversee performance and other non‑functional testing activities.
• Plan and lead UAT with business users and obtain formal sign‑off.
• Prepare test status reports, highlight risks and provide Go/No‑Go recommendations.
• Lead functional, automation, performance and vendor testing teams.
• Support Go‑Live, hyper‑care and post‑implementation verification.

Required profile

• 12+ years of experience in software testing/QA.
• At least 6 years in a test lead or test manager role with team management.
• Strong banking, credit and lending domain knowledge, including Micro/SME, Mid‑Corporate and Large‑Corporate processes.
• Proven delivery of at least two end‑to‑end credit decisioning or loan origination projects through testing to Go‑Live.
