Trader – Household & Personal Care (HHPC)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Trader to join Solevo’s Household and Personal Care (HHPC) segment. The role focuses on direct‑sales trading of commodity and semi‑commodity chemicals, requiring fast‑paced decision‑making and close collaboration with sales, purchasing and logistics teams.

Key responsibilities

• Target customers and increase Solevo’s share of wallet in assigned countries and segments.
• Identify and pursue new trading opportunities to grow the HHPC business.
• Manage the full end‑to‑end trading cycle – sourcing, negotiation and sales – for HHPC chemicals.
• Provide pricing and offers to sales teams and direct clients within a 24‑hour window.
• Assess customer financial strength, propose credit terms and follow up payments with Finance.
• Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and clients to secure favourable terms.
• Collaborate with internal Execution, Purchasing, Logistics and Sales teams to optimise the supply chain.
• Travel up to 30 % of the time to meet clients and partners.

Required profile

• Proven experience in trading, commercial or sales roles within chemical distribution or related commodities.
• Strong understanding of international trade, logistics and supply‑chain processes.
• Ability to work under pressure with rapid turnaround times.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Fluency in French and English, both written and spoken.
