Vehicle Mechanic

About the role

The Vehicle Mechanic will ensure that light and heavy vehicles operate safely and efficiently by performing inspections, diagnostics, servicing, and repairs. You will work in a dynamic workshop environment, supporting both routine maintenance and emergency breakdowns.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, service, and repair light and heavy vehicles.
• Carry out preventive maintenance and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults.
• Replace defective parts and perform routine servicing according to manufacturer and company standards.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and follow HSE and workshop safety procedures.
• Monitor vehicle condition, record mileage, fuel, and fluid levels, and ensure safety decals are up‑to‑date.
• Manage spare‑parts inventory and notify supervisors when replenishment is needed.
• Collaborate with the wider maintenance team and support emergency repairs as required.

Required profile

• High School Certificate or Technical Diploma.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar mechanical environment.
• Knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair procedures.
