Vehicle Technician – Autonomous Vehicle Sensors

About the role

Moove is seeking a Vehicle Technician to serve as the specialist eyes on its autonomous vehicle sensor stack and mechanical assembly. This junior‑to‑mid‑level, hands‑on position involves inspecting, testing, and validating hardware components such as Lidar, Radar, cameras, ultrasonic sensors, and compute units, as well as the mounting systems, wiring harnesses, and mechanical structures that hold them together.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct structured inspections of all AV sensor hardware, verifying installation, alignment, physical condition, and connectivity.
• Perform functional checks and sensor readiness validations as part of pre‑deployment clearance.
• Execute post‑repair inspections to confirm defect resolution before redeployment.
• Assess environmental impacts (heat, dust, humidity) on sensor performance and flag anomalies.
• Inspect mechanical mounting hardware, fasteners, torque settings, and vibration isolators.
• Verify cable routing, strain relief, connector seating, and enclosure seals.
• Document findings accurately and support root‑cause analysis with engineering and the AV Safety Manager.

Required profile

• Junior to mid‑level technical background with hands‑on experience in hardware inspection.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow defined checklists and SOPs.
• Understanding of how autonomous vehicle hardware behaves and how to test it methodically.
• Ability to work closely with engineering teams and safety personnel.
