Vendor Manager - Transportation

About the role

The Vendor Manager – Transportation oversees the selection, onboarding and performance of third‑party transport and logistics providers. The role ensures that the company has a reliable, cost‑effective and scalable capacity to meet its transportation needs.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate and onboard new transport vendors and subcontractors, building a robust network aligned with operational requirements.
• Negotiate rates, contracts and service agreements to secure competitive pricing and cost efficiency.
• Monitor contract compliance, vendor KPIs and service levels, conducting regular performance reviews and driving improvements.
• Coordinate with operations and fleet teams to align vendor capacity with demand fluctuations, including peak‑season planning.
• Collaborate with internal transport teams to balance owned and outsourced capacity and support the overall transportation strategy.

Required profile

• 5–8 years of experience in vendor management within logistics or transportation.
• Proven track record of negotiating contracts and achieving cost savings.
• Strong analytical abilities to assess vendor performance and capacity planning.
