Vice President & Head of Direct Sales, Abu Dhabi

About the role

As Vice President – Head of Direct Sales, you will lead the strategic growth of Rak Bank’s retail banking portfolio across personal loans, credit cards and other products in Abu Dhabi. You will be responsible for driving revenue, market share and customer acquisition through in‑house sales channels.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the overall sales strategy for retail banking products, set KPIs and lead a team of Team Leaders, Business Development Managers and Relationship Managers.
• Manage customer portfolios, promote cross‑selling, and ensure superior customer experience.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, AML/KYC, and internal policies.
• Drive business growth through payroll relationships, partnerships, outdoor sales initiatives and market expansion.
• Monitor sales performance, produce management reports and use data‑driven insights to improve effectiveness.

Required profile

• Postgraduate or bachelor’s degree with 8‑10 years of retail product sales experience, including at least 5 years in a leadership role managing third‑party sales channels.
• Proven track record of scaling alternate channels and achieving high‑volume acquisition targets.

Required skills

• Strong understanding of personal loan and credit card products, market dynamics and regulatory environment.
• Strategic thinking, persuasive communication and networking/relationship building.
