Accountant – Finance Operations

About the role

We are looking for an Accountant to support Finance Operations, handling bank transactions, reconciliations, petty cash, and various payment processes. The role works closely with the Senior and Chief Accountant to ensure accurate financial records and compliance with DCAA policies.

Key responsibilities

• Track cash and cheque deposits, bank transfers and direct deposits, and report bank balances.
• Review bank statements, raise issues, follow up with banks, and assist in preparing monthly bank reconciliation statements.
• Maintain petty cash on an imprest basis, prepare expense reports, obtain approvals and process reimbursements.
• Assist with travel arrangements for staff traveling domestically or abroad, coordinating tickets, hotels and purchase orders.
• Process monthly Etisalat payments, review invoices and account statements, and report any discrepancies.
• Prepare revenue collection and ePayment reports, including bank acknowledgement slips for cash and cheque deposits.
• File and document receipt vouchers, bank pay‑in slips, collection reports and related documents for easy access.
• Ensure compliance with confidentiality, security policies and address any audit findings.
• Perform any additional tasks requested by the Head of Section.

Required profile

• Higher Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Certification in GRP Finance Management Systems (Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable).
