Accountant – Financial Reporting & Audits

About the role

The Accountant will support the finance team by preparing accurate financial reports, performing bank reconciliations, and assisting with cyclical audits. The role requires strong analytical abilities, attention to detail, and effective communication with internal stakeholders and external vendors.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare payments after verifying supporting documents and ensure proper documentation.
• Generate special financial reports by collecting, analysing, and summarising account information and trends.
• Respond to manager queries regarding payments, approvals, advances and special reporting requests.
• Record monthly payroll transactions and summarise current financial status.
• Perform daily bank reconciliations for all accounts and report cash transactions.
• Audit financial documents to substantiate transactions and reconcile discrepancies.
• Manage petty‑cash disbursements and supervise inventory/stock counts.
• Post and process journal entries, update accounts payable/receivable and perform related reconciliations.
• Act as liaison with vendors to resolve billing discrepancies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
• Strong interpersonal skills and solid business acumen.
• Ability to interpret and analyse financial statements and periodicals.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel, Outlook, Word and PowerPoint.
