Accountant – Financial Reporting & Payroll

About the role

The Accountant will manage the organization’s financial records, ensure accurate reporting, and support day‑to‑day financial operations. This position requires strong analytical abilities, attention to detail, and the capacity to handle confidential information responsibly.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and accounting documents.
• Record daily transactions, reconcile bank statements, and maintain the general ledger.
• Produce monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Process payroll and keep payroll records up to date.
• Prepare tax returns and ensure timely tax payments.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash‑flow monitoring.
• Conduct account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and legal regulations.
• Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation.
• Prepare financial reports and present findings to management.
• Maintain proper filing and documentation of financial records.
• Recommend improvements to accounting processes and internal controls.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CMA) is a plus.
• Proven experience as an Accountant or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
