About the role

Design Haus Medy, an award‑winning Emirati‑German architecture and interior design practice in Dubai, is seeking a meticulous Accountant to manage its day‑to‑day financial operations. The role will ensure accurate ledger maintenance, handle payables and receivables, and support UAE VAT and corporate tax compliance for high‑profile design projects.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and update the general ledger and internal accounting systems.
• Process accounts payable, accounts receivable, vendor invoices and staff expense reports.
• Perform routine bank reconciliations and oversee month‑end and year‑end closing cycles.
• Assist in preparing and filing UAE VAT and corporate tax returns.
• Prepare draft financial statements and coordinate with external auditors during reviews.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (B.Com) or equivalent.
• Minimum 4 years of hands‑on accounting experience within the UAE.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with ERP accounting systems.
• Knowledge of UAE tax regulations (VAT and corporate tax).
