Accountant

About the role

Reneco International Wildlife Consultants is looking for an Accountant to join its Finance team in Abu Dhabi. The role involves handling daily accounting activities, supporting month‑end and year‑end closing, and assisting with internal and external audits.

Key responsibilities

• Record daily accounting transactions with correct coding and approvals.
• Process supplier invoices, verify supporting documents and prepare payment requests.
• Issue customer invoices, monitor balances and follow up overdue payments.
• Review employee expense claims and advances, ensuring compliance and timely settlement.
• Perform bank reconciliations, maintain petty cash records and investigate discrepancies.
• Prepare journal entries, including accruals, pre‑payments and payroll‑related entries.
• Maintain the fixed‑asset register, record additions/disposals and calculate depreciation.
• Reconcile balance‑sheet accounts and support month‑end and year‑end closing schedules.
• Provide documentation and explanations for internal and external audits.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Minimum five years of relevant accounting experience.
• Full professional proficiency in written and spoken English.
• Strong attention to detail, organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Oracle ERP systems.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills for reconciliations and reporting.
