Accountant

About the role

Czech Rehabilitation Hospital in Al Ain is hiring a full-time Accountant. The role covers the preparation of accounting entries, month-end closing, reconciliations and payment coordination, and requires at least 4 years of UAE experience, preferably in healthcare.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare asset, liability and capital account entries and document financial transactions
• Analyze accounting options and recommend financial actions; summarize the current financial status
• Audit documents to substantiate transactions and maintain accounting controls through policies and procedures
• Guide accounting clerical staff and reconcile financial and supplier discrepancies
• Perform month-end journal entries with accruals, create templates to automate posting, and carry out monthly and supplier reconciliations
• Manage petty cash, coordinate with the manager on payments, arrange customer checks and update them in the system
• Review financial data for reasonableness, use reporting tools to spot problems, and prepare a financial packet with statistics for the controller
• Follow generally accepted accounting principles and prepare general ledger reconciliations for the annual audit

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree (B. Comm)
• Minimum 4 years of UAE experience, preferably in the healthcare industry
• Excellent verbal and written English
