Junior Accountant

About the role

Czech Rehabilitation Hospital in Al Ain is hiring a Junior Accountant for a full-time position. The role covers day-to-day accounting work such as cash handling, journal entries, accounts payable and receivable, and supporting the finance team.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare daily cash and credit card collection details, daily journal entries, and daily cash reports
• Maintain returned checks, chargebacks, petty cash, and general ledger systems
• Post daily bank receipts and handle accruals and prepayments
• Set up new suppliers in accounting software and maintain debtor and creditor reports
• Prepare invoices after checking goods received notes and delivery documents, and handle ancillary services invoicing
• Oversee accounts payable so creditors are recorded and paid accurately and on time
• Reconcile the patient management system at month-end, including revenue determination and journal entries
• Follow up on outstanding hospital debtors with the Admissions Supervisor
• Assist with inventory control, capital asset recording, and other subsidiary databases
• Investigate unusual P&L and balance sheet items, help compile management reports, and attend departmental meetings
• Support the Finance Manager, senior accountant and accountant, and carry out ad-hoc projects as directed by the Finance & Admin Manager and CFO
