Accounts Payable Accountant

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Accounts Payable Accountant to join XCMG Gulf General Trading FZE in the UAE. The role involves managing the company’s payables, ensuring timely vendor payments and maintaining accurate financial records in line with UAE regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Process and verify supplier invoices, expense claims and payment requests, ensuring proper approval and coding.
• Execute timely payments to vendors via bank transfers, cheques or other methods.
• Reconcile vendor statements, investigate and resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate accounts‑payable records and ensure compliance with UAE VAT requirements.
• Assist with audit preparation by providing necessary AP documentation.
• File financial documents according to company policy.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in accounts payable, preferably in trading, construction or heavy‑equipment sectors.
• Strong knowledge of UAE VAT and local accounting standards.
• Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and pay great attention to detail.
