About the role
We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable specialist with a marine or maritime background to join our Dubai office. The role involves handling vendor invoices, reconciling statements, and ensuring timely payments related to vessel running costs.
Key responsibilities
- Process invoices issued by vendors to shipowners for goods and services delivered to vessels.
- Reconcile vendor statements with ledger accounts.
- Post entries to the MariApps ledger based on invoices and payments.
- Arrange and execute vendor payments.
- Request final invoices when advance payments have been made.
- Prepare regular and ad‑hoc reports on vessel running costs and payables.
Required profile
- At least 1 year of accounting or bookkeeping experience with vessel running costs; oil tanker experience preferred.
- Good understanding of running cost structures and related expenses.
- Ability to meet shipowners’ quarterly reporting deadlines.
