Associate Director – Commercial (High Speed Rail)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Associate Director – Commercial to lead the commercial strategy for our High Speed Rail project in Abu Dhabi. You will shape revenue models, manage costs and guide a multidisciplinary team to deliver a world‑class transportation infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute commercial strategies that optimise revenue, control costs and drive profitability across all project phases.
• Lead contract negotiations, vendor relationships and supplier agreements to secure favourable terms and sustained value.
• Oversee project administration throughout construction, including technical coordination, financial management and client satisfaction initiatives.
• Maintain budget accountability, financial forecasting and cost‑control measures to ensure project profitability.
• Identify and mitigate commercial and operational risks while ensuring compliance with UAE regulations and industry standards.
• Collaborate with internal teams, clients and external partners to achieve shared objectives and monitor key performance indicators.

Required profile

• Minimum 15 + years of progressive experience in commercial management, project management or construction engineering within infrastructure or transportation sectors.
• Proven expertise in commercial strategy development, business development and P&L responsibility.
• Strong financial acumen with experience managing large‑scale budgets and forecasting.
• Excellent leadership, mentorship and stakeholder‑management abilities.
• Experience with high‑speed rail or similar transportation projects is preferred.
