Associate Director of Ads Sales

About the role

Careem is building the Everything App for the Middle East and is expanding its Careem Ads business across the UAE, KSA and Egypt. The Associate Director of Ads Sales will lead the agency partnership function, shape the GTM strategy and drive multi‑million‑dollar revenue growth.

Key responsibilities

• Define and own the agency GTM strategy for UAE, KSA and Egypt, including annual joint business plans, reseller models and multi‑market expansion.
• Manage and grow a team of Agency Partner Managers, establishing operating rhythms, success metrics and governance.
• Influence Careem Ads’ revenue plan by scaling agency‑led buying and delivering direct revenue across the agency portfolio.
• Provide strategic feedback to product, measurement and finance teams to shape formats, reporting and innovation pilots.
• Act as a core member of the founding team, building infrastructure, playbooks and market presence for Careem Ads.

Required profile

• 12‑15+ years in media sales, digital advertising or agency partnerships with a proven record of building and scaling agency ecosystems.
• Strong analytical ability, comfortable using data and tools to build forecasts and defend commercial plans.
• Executive presence with the ability to influence senior stakeholders, including C‑suite, across agencies and large advertisers.
• Fluency in English and Arabic and experience in ambiguous, 0‑to‑1 environments.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel/BI for forecasting and reporting.
• Knowledge of digital media platforms: Meta, Google, TikTok, Snap, Amazon.
• Experience integrating AI tools into workflow automation, forecasting and campaign operations.
