Business Development Executive – Middle East and Africa

About the role

Progesys is seeking a Business Development Executive to lead growth initiatives across the Middle East and Africa. You will be responsible for expanding the company’s footprint in industrial sectors such as mining, metals, petrochemicals, oil & gas, and hydro‑electric projects.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a strategic business plan for the assigned region with guidance from senior management.
• Prospect new clients, conduct cold calls, manage key accounts and deliver compelling sales presentations.
• Research, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities and partnerships.
• Organise external meetings, campaigns, seminars and industry events.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners and professional associations.
• Understand client objectives, propose tailored solutions and communicate ROI.
• Maintain up‑to‑date sales tools (CRM, account plans) and report progress to management.
• Represent Progesys at trade shows and professional gatherings.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.
• 7‑10 years of business development and professional services sales experience in industrial sectors (mining, metals, petrochemicals, oil & gas, hydro‑electricity, etc.).
• Fluent in English and Arabic; French is an asset.
• Proven ability to prospect, cold‑call, manage key accounts and achieve measurable sales results.
• Strong work ethic, results‑oriented mindset and ability to engage senior decision‑makers.
