Business Development Manager – FMCG

About the role

GMG is seeking a Business Development Manager to expand its FMCG brand portfolio across the UAE. You will own the full commercial cycle, from scouting new brands to launching them profitably within GMG’s supply chain and regulatory framework.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain a prioritized pipeline of target brands aligned with GMG’s category strategy and margin goals.
• Conduct gap analysis to identify white‑space opportunities in price tiers, pack formats and segments.
• Lead initial contact and full courtship with prospective principals, presenting capabilities and market sizing.
• Perform due‑diligence on financial standing, production capacity and export readiness.
• Model landed‑costs, margins and construct business cases for each brand.
• Negotiate commercial terms, sign contracts and oversee onboarding into GMG’s supply chain, QA/regulatory and route‑to‑market processes.
• Develop and manage a sub‑distributor network, defining territories, margin structures, stock commitments and performance KPIs.
• Identify and open new B2B revenue streams across additional channels.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with Supply Chain, Finance, Marketing, Legal and Sales teams.

Required profile

• Proven experience in FMCG business development or brand acquisition.
• Track record of signing and launching brands with measurable margin contribution.
• Strong analytical and financial modelling capabilities.
• Excellent negotiation and contract management skills.
• Ability to work with internal functions and external partners in a fast‑paced environment.
