Business Development & Sales Manager – Land Domain

About the role

Saab is looking for a Business Development & Sales Manager to lead its land portfolio in the UAE, focusing on tactical Counter‑UAS and Training & Simulation solutions. You will work within the UAE Business Development & Sales Department and report to the Head of Business Development & Sales.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute capture strategies for Saab’s land portfolio across the UAE and support the wider Middle East and Africa region.
• Identify, qualify and own the capture process from initial meeting through proposal, negotiation and contract closure.
• Shape complete C‑UAS solutions by integrating sensors, command‑and‑control and effectors, and position training & simulation as a standalone capability.
• Maintain strong relationships with Land Forces, Air Defence units, Ministry of Defence and other relevant military agencies.
• Coordinate proposals, develop win themes, and align product owners across Saab’s global business units.

Required profile

• At least 5 years of experience in defence sales, business development, capture, or senior Army background with hands‑on knowledge of air defence, C‑UAS or military training.
• Degree in business or engineering, or equivalent military academy qualification.
• Proven track record of successful defence deals and experience negotiating with defence customers.
• Excellent English communication skills and ability to obtain required security clearances.

Required skills

• Solid understanding of tactical Counter‑UAS concepts and how sensors, C2 and effectors integrate.
• Experience with military training systems or simulation (strong plus).
• Ability to translate complex technical information into clear customer‑focused presentations.
