Chartered Accountant – Tax & Compliance

About the role

We are hiring for a Chartered Accountant – Tax & Compliance position with a growing Tax Advisory firm in the UAE. The role is ideal for freshly qualified CA/ACCA professionals looking to develop practical expertise in UAE VAT, corporate tax, and client management.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly and quarterly VAT return workings and coordinate filing within statutory deadlines.
• Perform transaction‑level reviews, reconciliations of sales, purchases and Reverse Charge Mechanism, and review trial balances for tax compliance.
• Assist in responding to FTA queries, notices, assessments and in preparing penalty waiver or reconsideration applications.
• Maintain client registrations on the EmaraTax portal, monitor compliance deadlines and communicate risks.
• Act as day‑to‑day contact for assigned clients, collect required documents, and keep clients informed of deliverable status.
• Review accounting records, perform reconciliations, analyse financial data for tax issues and ensure accurate working papers.
• Coordinate with the Engagement Manager and internal team to ensure timely delivery of assignments.

Required profile

• Freshly qualified CA/ACCA or equivalent professional qualification.
• Basic conceptual understanding of UAE VAT and strong fundamentals in accounting and taxation.
• Ability to analyse financial data, identify errors and manage multiple statutory deadlines.
• Strong English communication skills, attention to detail and a proactive, organised work ethic.
