Chief Investment Officer

About the role

The Chief Investment Officer (CIO) will lead terrastakes' real‑estate investment strategy, overseeing the full asset life‑cycle from sourcing and due diligence to tokenization, execution, performance management and exit. Reporting directly to the CEO, the CIO will work closely with the Board, regulators and senior leadership to ensure the portfolio is financially sound, scalable and compliant.

Key responsibilities

• Define and continuously refine the long‑term real‑estate investment strategy, target asset classes, geographies and return objectives.
• Design and implement a comprehensive investment risk‑management framework, including stress‑testing and scenario analysis.
• Lead deal origination, due diligence, financial modelling and valuation of prospective assets.
• Develop tokenization strategies, manage the tokenization process and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Oversee portfolio performance, monitor market trends across the GCC and other target markets, and adjust strategies accordingly.
• Establish investment committee governance, policy statements and approval thresholds.
• Coordinate asset exit strategies and manage relationships with investors and stakeholders.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of experience in real‑estate investment, asset management or related finance roles.
• Proven track record of leading large, tokenized real‑estate portfolios.
• Strong understanding of GCC real‑estate markets and regulatory environments.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with the Board, regulators and investors.
