Civil Engineer – QA/QC Specialist

About the role

The Civil Engineer – QA/QC Specialist will lead quality assurance and control activities on construction sites, ensuring that all works comply with approved drawings, specifications, and contract documents. You will coordinate closely with consultants, contractors, and site engineers to maintain high standards of safety and quality.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and implement Project Quality Plans (PQP) and Inspection & Test Plans (ITP).
• Conduct material inspections and approvals for cement, steel, aggregates, concrete, etc.
• Review and verify material submittals, method statements, and shop drawings.
• Raise, track, and close Non‑Conformance Reports (NCRs).
• Perform site quality inspections, witness field tests (slump, cube, soil compaction), and prepare inspection reports.
• Monitor concrete pouring, curing procedures, and reinforcement placement.
• Maintain quality records, checklists, and ensure equipment calibration.
• Monitor subcontractor performance and conduct internal audits.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly quality reports and support project hand‑over documentation.
