Commis 2 – Sunvibe Kitchen

About the role

Mandarin Oriental Jumeira in Dubai is seeking a Commis 2 to join the Sunvibe Kitchen team. You will support senior chefs in preparing high‑quality dishes while maintaining strict food safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Wash, peel and prepare ingredients for dish production.
• Prepare mise en place to the highest quality standards.
• Set up and replenish buffet stations.
• Assist with stock requisition, storage and labeling of ingredients.
• Clean and sanitize work surfaces, tools and utensils before and after use.
• Report cleanliness and maintenance issues and support daily checks.
• Adhere to personal hygiene and UAE food safety regulations.
• Support other outlets and banquet operations when required.

Required profile

• High school qualification or equivalent; culinary diploma preferred.
• Minimum 1 year experience as Commis 1 or 2 in a high‑volume hotel or restaurant.
• Ability to work long hours and handle physical tasks up to 15 kg.
• Basic knowledge of kitchen tools, utensils and food hygiene.
