Commis Chef – Dubai

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Commis Chef to join our kitchen team in Dubai. Reporting to the Assistant Restaurant Manager, you will support daily food preparation and uphold Bateel’s culinary standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes, quality and presentation standards.
• Maintain freshness of ingredients and complete shift checklists and production lists.
• Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves and fryers safely.
• Assist with catering, special events and lunch/dinner services as required.
• Control inventory, minimise waste and follow portion‑control procedures.
• Monitor equipment maintenance and report any issues.
• Ensure strict hygiene, sanitation and food‑safety compliance in all work areas.
• Represent the Bateel brand by adhering to uniform and grooming standards.

Required profile

• High School Certificate or Diploma and an Occupational Health Card.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar hospitality kitchen role.
• Proficient in spoken and written English.
