Commis I – Food & Beverage (Ras Al Khaimah)

About the role

The Commis I supports the kitchen team at the Al Wadi restaurant in Ras Al Khaimah, preparing special meals, maintaining food quality, and ensuring smooth service during busy periods.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare special meals and substitute items according to recipes, quality and presentation standards.
• Regulate temperature of ovens, broilers, grills and roasters.
• Thaw frozen items in the refrigerator and manage food storage.
• Ensure proper portioning, arrangement and garnish of dishes.
• Maintain food logs and monitor the quality and quantity of prepared food.
• Communicate assistance needs and inform the chef of excess items for daily specials.
• Notify service staff of menu specials and out‑of‑stock items.
• Prepare and cook cold foods.
• Follow safety, security and hygiene policies; report incidents and maintenance needs.
• Maintain professional uniform, protect confidential information and support guests’ service needs.

Required profile

• At least three years of experience in food preparation or kitchen operations.
• Technical, trade or vocational school education preferred.
• No supervisory experience required.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, bend and lift objects up to 25 lb.
• Availability for a full‑time schedule.
