Commissioning Superintendent Electrical

About the role

KBR is seeking an experienced Commissioning Superintendent Electrical to lead commissioning activities on a major onshore EPC project in Abu Dhabi. The role involves coordinating with licensors and vendors, ensuring compliance with procedures, and delivering successful handover of gas and condensate facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate with licensors and vendors to monitor commissioning activities according to prescribed procedures.
• Review and verify pre‑commissioning and commissioning procedures, manuals, and mechanical completion certificates.
• Participate in commissioning meetings, troubleshoot obstacles, and ensure readiness for MC and RFSU certificate issuance.
• Monitor and approve punch‑list close‑out and ensure handover complies with contractual documents.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (mandatory).
• Minimum 18 years of commissioning/operation readiness experience, preferably in the GCC region.
• At least 5 years in oil & gas or petrochemical projects, with exposure to sour gas, hydrogen production, or hydro‑desulfurization.

Required skills

• Electrical commissioning on large‑scale EPC projects.
• Onshore site experience in MEGA EPC environments.
• Coordination with licensors and vendors.
• Review of commissioning procedures and manuals.
