Consultant Cardiac Surgeon – Western Qualified

About the role

A leading private hospital in the UAE seeks a Western‑qualified Consultant Cardiac Surgeon to deliver advanced surgical care for complex cardiovascular patients.

Key responsibilities

• Assess and manage patients requiring cardiac surgical intervention.
• Perform cardiac surgeries, including coronary artery bypass grafting and valve repair or replacement.
• Provide pre‑operative assessment, risk evaluation, and post‑operative care, monitoring for complications.
• Collaborate with cardiologists, cardiac anaesthesiologists, intensivists and other specialists.
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, clinical audits and quality‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Medical degree with recognised specialist training in Cardiac or Cardiothoracic Surgery.
• Consultant‑level qualification such as UK CCT/CCST, FRCS (Cardiothoracic), Irish specialist registration, American Board of Thoracic Surgery, Canadian Royal College, or Australian/New Zealand fellowship.
• Extensive experience in adult cardiac surgery and complex cases, preferably in a tertiary or advanced cardiac centre.

Required skills

• Coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG).
• Valve repair and valve replacement procedures.
• Management of complex cardiac conditions and surgical emergencies.
