Consultant General Surgeon (UK CCT) – Private Healthcare

About the role

A leading private healthcare group in the UAE is looking for an experienced Consultant General Surgeon with a UK CCT qualification. The role involves delivering high‑quality surgical care across a broad range of general surgery specialties while working within a multidisciplinary team.

Key responsibilities

• Perform elective and emergency general surgical procedures, including advanced laparoscopic and minimally invasive techniques.
• Manage conditions of the gastrointestinal tract, abdominal wall, soft tissues, breast, endocrine system and skin.
• Conduct comprehensive pre‑operative assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Provide post‑operative care, monitor recovery and respond to surgical emergencies and trauma.
• Collaborate with physicians, anesthetists, radiologists, intensivists and allied health professionals.
• Maintain accurate electronic medical records and participate in clinical governance activities.
• Supervise and mentor junior doctors and contribute to on‑call duties.

Required profile

• UK CCT qualification in General Surgery.
• Significant experience in both elective and emergency surgical settings.
• Commitment to patient safety, evidence‑based practice and continuous professional development.
