Consultant Pediatric Rheumatologist

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Consultant Pediatric Rheumatologist to join our Pediatric Department in Abu Dhabi. The role involves comprehensive diagnosis and management of children and adolescents with rheumatologic, autoimmune, inflammatory and musculoskeletal disorders within a multidisciplinary team.

Key responsibilities

• Provide consultant‑level assessment and management of pediatric rheumatology patients, including diagnosis and treatment of conditions such as JIA, juvenile SLE, dermatomyositis, systemic vasculitis and Kawasaki disease.
• Develop individualized treatment plans, manage immunomodulatory and biologic therapies, monitor response and safety, and coordinate care with related specialties.
• Participate in multidisciplinary clinics, case conferences, teaching of trainees, and contribute to research, clinical audits and quality‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Medical degree with recognized postgraduate training in Pediatrics and board certification/specialist qualification.
• Fellowship or advanced formal training in Pediatric Rheumatology (required or highly desirable) and a valid Abu Dhabi Department of Health consultant license in the specialty.
• Significant post‑specialist experience as a Consultant/Specialist Pediatrician with dedicated clinical experience in Pediatric Rheumatology.
