Specialist – Emergency Medicine

About the role

The Specialist in Emergency Medicine provides high‑quality clinical care to patients in urgent situations, ensuring ethical practice, accurate documentation, and compliance with UAE health regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver rapid assessment and treatment for emergency cases, including on‑call ambulance duties and remote consultations.
• Maintain accurate, confidential medical records and report notifiable public health data to the Department of Health.
• Monitor and manage clinical risks, adhere to infection‑control, patient‑safety, HAAD, JCI and ISO standards.
• Participate in continuous quality improvement, in‑service training (ACLS, BLS, CNEs, CMEs) and departmental meetings.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years post‑qualification experience at specialist level, with at least 1 year in a Tier 1 country recognised by UAE regulators.
• Medical degree with recognised specialty qualification (fellowship/diploma) and active registration with the UAE health authority.
• Valid life‑support certifications (BLS, ACLS, PALS, ATLS, NRP).
