Consultant Physician – Thoracic Surgery

About the role

SSMC is seeking a compassionate Consultant Physician specialized in Thoracic Surgery to deliver primary and specialized care to patients with injuries and common illnesses. The role involves comprehensive patient assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and ongoing management.

Key responsibilities

• Examine patients, take detailed medical histories, and address their concerns.
• Diagnose and treat injuries, illnesses, and disorders, including ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests.
• Develop and prescribe appropriate treatment plans, medications, and therapies.
• Provide counseling on diet, hygiene, preventive health, and lifestyle modifications.
• Maintain accurate patient records and update charts with current findings.
• Collaborate with other physicians, refer to specialists when needed, and work closely with nursing and support staff.
• Ensure compliance with medical laws and regulations such as HIPAA.

Required profile

• Medical degree with successful completion of residency and internship.
• Valid state license and certification to practice medicine.
• Broad knowledge and experience in diagnosing and treating a wide variety of illnesses.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, leadership, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Detail‑oriented, dexterous, patient, and compassionate.
