Consultant Specialist Gastroenterologist - American Board Certified

About the role

A leading healthcare facility in the United Arab Emirates is looking for an experienced Consultant Specialist Gastroenterologist who holds American Board certification. The role involves delivering high‑quality gastroenterology services to both in‑patient and out‑patient populations.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage a broad spectrum of gastrointestinal and hepatobiliary conditions.
• Provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient gastroenterology care.
• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic upper GI endoscopy and colonoscopy procedures.
• Manage complex liver, pancreatic, and biliary disorders.
• Develop individualized treatment plans and ensure appropriate follow‑up.
• Collaborate with surgeons, oncologists, radiologists and other specialists.
• Participate in clinical audits, quality‑improvement initiatives, teaching and departmental activities.
• Maintain accurate medical records and comply with UAE clinical and regulatory standards.

Required profile

• MBBS/MD or equivalent medical degree.
• American Board Certification in Gastroenterology (ABMS‑recognized).
• Relevant post‑specialization clinical experience.
• Current professional registration/licence and Good Standing Certificate.
• Eligibility for UAE Consultant or Specialist classification.
• Excellent communication and multidisciplinary teamwork skills.
