Cost Accountant - Food Manufacturing

About the role

A qualified Cost Accountant with mandatory food industry experience is needed to manage costing, budgeting and financial analysis for food manufacturing operations. The position is based in Sharjah and requires the candidate to be in the UAE; it is a full-time role.

Key responsibilities

• Manage product costing, standard costing and variance analysis for food production
• Prepare cost sheets, BOMs, recipe costing and yield analysis
• Monitor inventory valuation, raw material consumption and work in progress
• Develop and control budgets, forecasts and cost reduction initiatives
• Carry out profitability analysis by product, channel and SKU
• Prepare monthly cost reports and management dashboards
• Coordinate with Production, Procurement and Finance on cost control
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and audit requirements

Required profile

• CMA certification is mandatory
• At least 5 years of relevant cost accounting experience
• Previous experience in the food industry is mandatory
• Strong knowledge of cost accounting, costing, budgeting and financial analysis

Required skills

• ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle
• Advanced Excel
