Data Engineer (Databricks) – Banking

About the role

We are seeking a Data Engineer with strong Databricks and Spark expertise to design and build scalable data platforms for a banking client in Dubai. The role involves creating modern data pipelines, supporting AI/ML workloads, and ensuring data quality and governance.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimise data engineering solutions on Databricks, including high‑performance Apache Spark jobs using PySpark and Spark SQL.
• Build and maintain robust ETL/ELT pipelines with Python, Spark, and Databricks, processing large‑scale structured and semi‑structured datasets.
• Create analytics‑ready datasets, support BI/reporting platforms, and collaborate with analytics teams to meet business requirements.
• Prepare data for AI/ML workloads, support feature engineering, model training, and real‑time scoring pipelines.
• Partner with Data Science, Analytics, and Platform teams to ensure data governance, security, and compliance.

Required profile
