Demi Chef de Partie – Grill

About the role

The Demi Chef de Partie will support the Chef de Partie in the grill and hot sections of The Theater’s kitchen, ensuring high‑quality dishes are prepared and presented consistently while maintaining strict hygiene standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients, sauces, garnishes and other menu components according to recipes.
• Cook and present dishes in line with brand and menu specifications, maintaining flavor, portion and plating consistency.
• Assist the Chef de Partie in managing the section, ensuring readiness, cleanliness and compliance with kitchen standards, and take charge in their absence.
• Guide and support Commis chefs, providing training and feedback on cooking techniques and food handling.
• Monitor food quality, taste and presentation, reporting any deviations to senior chefs immediately.

Required profile

• Diploma or Certificate in Culinary Arts or a related field.
• 2–4 years of culinary experience, including at least 1 year as a Commis or Demi Chef de Partie in a reputable restaurant or hotel.
• Strong technical knowledge of cooking techniques, preparation and kitchen operations, especially in grill and hot sections.
• Understanding of HACCP principles and food safety procedures.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
