About the role
The Demi Chef de Partie – Pastry supports the pastry team in preparing high‑quality desserts and cold foods at a Westin hotel in Dubai Marina. You will work in a fast‑paced kitchen environment, ensuring food safety and presentation standards are met.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients, portion, chop, weigh, measure and mix according to recipes and quality standards.
- Operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves and fryers, and test foods for proper cooking.
- Prepare and cook cold foods, set up and break down work stations, and serve food in proper portions.
- Maintain cleanliness by washing and disinfecting kitchen areas, tools, knives and equipment.
- Monitor appliance and food temperatures, follow safety policies and report any hazards.
Required profile
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- At least 1 year of related pastry or kitchen experience.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift objects up to 25 lb and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.
- Professional appearance, good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
