Deputy Manager – Electrical (Field Engineering)

About the role

Petrofac is seeking a Deputy Manager – Electrical (Field Engineering) to lead technical and commercial activities for proposals and projects across the United Arab Emirates. The role combines engineering expertise with team leadership to ensure successful delivery of electrical field engineering solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Review Invitation To Bid (ITB) documents, issue inquiries and evaluate techno‑commercial vendor offers.
• Prepare equipment, material and man‑hour estimates, cost estimates, BOQ (logistic and construction) and software requirements for construction and commissioning supervision.
• Participate in proposal cost review meetings with management and support contract review processes.
• Facilitate and coordinate the recruitment of electrical engineers, conduct technical interviews and ensure adequate staffing.
• Provide guidance on planning engineering activities, allocate manpower resources and monitor performance against objectives.
• Organise internal quality audits and peer reviews, ensuring timely closure of actions.
• Advise engineers and designers on technical issues and support project control, construction and commissioning teams.

Required profile

• Proven experience in electrical field engineering and proposal preparation.
• Strong ability to manage and develop a team of electrical engineers.
• Excellent communication skills for stakeholder interaction and technical interviews.
• Capability to conduct quality audits and ensure compliance with project standards.
