Director Commercial Life Sciences Middle East

About the role

The Director, Commercial (Middle East) sets the strategic direction for Thermo Fisher’s Life Sciences business across the region. Reporting to senior leadership, you will lead a high‑performing sales organisation, drive growth, and ensure compliance with best‑in‑class practices.

Key responsibilities

• Direct and manage local sales district managers, specialists and channel managers.
• Build, develop and motivate high‑performing commercial teams.
• Design and execute customer and channel partner strategies to increase market share and customer value.
• Foster cross‑functional teamwork and leverage cultural awareness to strengthen relationships.
• Engage resources across the organisation to support regional growth.
• Lead, mentor, coach and drive engagement within commercial and distributor teams.
• Implement and monitor performance management, financial and regulatory compliance for channel partners.
• Resolve partner issues and drive solutions to completion.
• Manage relationships with customers, distributors and global partners.
• Implement PPI and digital tools, including AI, to improve sales efficiency.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in commercial or sales leadership within Life Sciences or Clinical Diagnostics.
• Proven track record managing managers and individual contributors.
• Strong interpersonal and cultural awareness skills.
• Ability to travel internationally up to 50% of the time.
