Director of Risks and Compliance

About the role

The Director of Risks and Compliance will lead du Pay's risk management and compliance functions, ensuring adherence to UAE regulations and reporting directly to the Board.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and oversee the enterprise risk management framework, policies and procedures.
• Monitor risk appetite, assess material risks for existing and new products, and report risk parameters to the Board and BRCC.
• Lead AML, control and compliance activities, including reporting suspicious transactions to the UAE Financial Intelligence Unit.
• Maintain liaison with regulators such as the Central Bank of UAE, providing required reports and updates.
• Evaluate governance, systems and controls, and advise the CEO and Board on remediation priorities.

Required profile

• Minimum 12 years of experience in risk and compliance, preferably within fintech or banking.
• Proven experience reporting to senior boards and regulators, including the Central Bank of UAE.
• Degree in Risk, Audit, Law or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of UAE regulations, customer protection, SVF, RPSCS and international standards such as GDPR.
