General Technician – Hotel Maintenance

About the role

The Engineering General Technician will provide efficient maintenance support across the hotel, ensuring all equipment, facilities and systems are in excellent working condition for guests and colleagues.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance in guest rooms, public areas, back‑of‑house and other hotel facilities.
• Attend to maintenance requests, breakdowns and repairs promptly and professionally.
• Perform general maintenance tasks including basic electrical, plumbing, mechanical, carpentry and painting work.
• Inspect equipment and facilities regularly, reporting defects or safety concerns to the Engineering Supervisor or Chief Engineer.
• Maintain tools, equipment and work areas in safe, organized condition and follow all hotel safety procedures and preventive maintenance schedules.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role within a 5‑star hotel.
• Good knowledge of general hotel maintenance and basic electrical, plumbing, mechanical, carpentry and painting work.
• Strong understanding of health and safety procedures.
• Highly motivated, well‑organized and able to respond efficiently to maintenance requests.
• Good communication and troubleshooting skills, able to work independently and as part of a team.
