Housekeeping Attendant

About the role

The Housekeeping Attendant is responsible for all hotel housekeeping functions, supporting the Housekeeping Supervisor in daily operations and ensuring guest rooms meet the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation.

Key responsibilities

• Collect assignment sheets, note guest requests, and attend communication meetings for the assigned section.
• Maintain proper stock of guest amenities, cleaning supplies, minibar items, and clean linen on the trolley before starting work.
• Inspect rooms with “Make Up” and “Do Not Disturb” signs, respecting DND status.
• Supervise end‑of‑day closing of the service area, ensuring equipment is safe and no hazards remain.
• Communicate shift information to the next team, report exposed guest valuables, and follow hospitality protocols when entering or leaving rooms.
• Thoroughly clean bathrooms, replace towels and amenities, report maintenance issues, and refresh floral arrangements.
• Make up beds, clean bedrooms, replenish stationery, matches, and minibar items, and remove any spots or hair from linens.

Required profile

• Minimum 1–2 years of housekeeping experience in a hotel or similar hospitality environment.
• Basic knowledge of cleaning procedures, guestroom standards, and hygiene practices.
• Physically fit for lifting, bending, and long periods of standing or walking.
• Strong attention to detail and a professional, guest‑focused attitude.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with flexible availability including weekends, holidays, and shifts.
